Know :Few facts about worms

Hey, friends! Today the post is related to worms which are everywhere in nature. These are Invertebrate animals. They have a thread like body structure. They are seen in different shades and colors. They have soft skin coated all over the body.

Few worms don't have muscles to move on their own so they depend on other animals as a means of locomotion. Few move on their own just like earthworms. Most of the worms reside under the wet soil, green forests etc.

Facts about the worms :

  • Earthworms have 5 hearts. [Now stop wishing for 5hearts, Cause you're a love failure]


  • Gippsland worm, which is normally seen in Australia, can grow in length up to four feet which is really long enough. [It's not a snake]


  • Altogether in this world, there are more than 2700 variants of earthworm. Wow, we hardly find 10 to 20 types in our life time.


  • Earthworms have no lungs in their body system. They breathe air through their skin. Now please don't stop using your nose :)


  • Earthworms can't live without getting wet cause they can't live if they turn out dry. We think that's the reason why we find most of the worms beneath the surface of earth.


  • The earthworm's body is segmented into different parts. If accidently it loses a segment, it has nature to build itself with undergoing a problem.


  • Worms don't increase their number in illogical ways. They reproduce themselves depending upon the food availability and climatic conditions. Wish,  humans can get this tip from worms :)


  • Worms don't have eyes so they can't see the environment and their predators.


  • The largest worm was found in South Africa which measured nearly 22feet in length. If we see it, we would think it's an anaconda :)


  • In 10arces of land, there can be 10millions of earthworms which can happily live together:)

  • Earthworms are bisexual in nature, they have both male and female organs but they need another earthworm to mate. Normally an earthworm lives up to 15years.
